- Lot Description
Blaine, Mahlon. Portfolio of Original Illustrations by Mahlon Blaine, Inscribed to Joseph Dunninger. 1951?52. Twenty-one illustrations, mounted on pages within a patterned wool-covered accordion binder, many in color and inscribed by Blaine to Dunninger, depicting: belly dancer; nude woman in heels bent over touching her toes; ten pen and ink drawings with charcoal accents, being erotic drawings of two female circus acrobats and a chimpanzee; eight erotic drawings of devils; and one female nude figure drawing. Top edge of front cover nicked, else good overall. Note: An earlier description of this lot misstated the number of illustrations as 12. There are in fact 21 total illustrations within the portfolio.
