[POSTER MAQUETTE]. Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Combined Circus / Airplane Travel Made Safe for Startling New Aerial Feats at Lofty Heights by the Great Qualterios in the Greatest Mid-Air Display Ever Witnessed. [Erie: Erie Lithographing and Printing Co., ca. 1910s-1930s]. Gouache on board depicting an elaborate act with Ringling Brothers airplanes and aerialists. Image 14 x 21?. Board 16 ? x 23?. Pencil notes on versos indicating that this is the basis of half-sheet, one-sheet, or nine-sheet posters. Two marginal stickers, some soiling, several marginal pin-holes. This maquette is the basis of the rare poster.
