[QUEEN VICTORIA (1819-1901), association]. Military Commission for Alexander George Dickson. The Court of St James, the Eighth day of June, 1862. Partially printed document on thick paper. Approximately 12 x 16?. With official inkstamps, tax stamps, and seals on the left side. 4 vertical creases, some mild thumbsoiling, Fine. Signed on behalf of Queen Victoria by Prime Minister Lord Ripon and also signed by her cousin Prince George the Duke of Cambridge who at the time was the Commander in Chief of the British Army. This document promotes Alexander George Dickson to the rank of Major of the 6th Dragoon Guards.
