RABELAIS, Francis (d. 1553). The Works? Translated into English by Motteux and Ozell. London: printed for Lackington, Allen, and Co., et al, 1807. 4 volumes, 8vo. Engraved frontispiece portrait in Volume I. Early half red morocco over marbled boards, raised bands, gilt tooling and titling in compartments, top edge gilt, stamp?signed by Bradstreet (spines a bit darkened, intermittent pale foxing near margins). LARGE PAPER COPY of ?one of the most perfect specimens of the art of translation? (Lowndes). Lowndes, p. 2033.
