RAMSAY, John (1877?1962). Five John Ramsay Advertising Thimbles. Ayr, Scotland, ca. 1950. Manipulation/advertising thimbles with the text ?John Ramsay Conjuring Entertainer Ayr? embossed in silver on red enameled rings around their bases. Rubbing to finish, but generally good condition. Diameter at base approximately ??, height approximately 7/8?. These thimbles were favored by Ramsay and Dai Vernon for various sleight-of-hand effects.
