Illustrated throughout by Remington. xvi, 1-411, [2, blank] pp. Publisher?s full brown calf, front board decoratively stamped in gilt and colors, spine lettered in gilt, publisher?s dust jacket (calf binding rebacked preserving most of the original spine, front hinge starting, some offsetting to endleaves; jacket front and rear panel mounted onto cardstock (spine and flaps missing), jacket toned, edgeworn, marginally chipped). Very good. FIRST ILLUSTRATED EDITION, WITH THE SCARCE DUST JACKET (the jacket is scarce in any condition).
