- Lot Description
Rigid Vanishing Birdcage. Hamburg: Janos Bartl, 1930s. Large and sturdy nickel-plated metal and wire cage vanishes from between the magician's bare hands on command. A "rigid" model as made by Bartl (and later Martin), which may be held with one hand or rested on the table in its open position. 7 x 4 1/2 x 5" (open). With simple pull attached. Owned by Johnny Thompson, a/k/a "The Great Tomsoni."
Condition
Wooden perch removed, usual wear to plating. Very good.
