Robert Houdin ?Arched Dial? Mystery Clock. Paris, ca. 1855. A ?Series 6? mystery clock with arched bezel supporting a glass dial with Arabic numerals in hours and minute bits highlighted at five minute increments. Hour and minute hands. Despite the unusual shape of the transparent glass clock face, the clock hands rotate as expected to keep time. A complicated series of hidden works, synced with several layers of glass, cause the hands to move mysteriously. Height 14 ??, dial 9 x 4 ? x 3 3 ??. With key. Not running.
