London: George Routledge and Sons, 1878. FIRST ENGLISH EDITION. Original full red cloth, front board and spine stamped in black and gilt, rear board ruled in blind, AEG. Frontispiece and numerous intertextual diagrams and illustrations throughout. 8vo. [xx], [1]-373, [1, colophon], [6, publisher?s catalogue] pp. Dawes? bookplate. Spine toned and edgeworn, some light rubbing, wear to boards, hinges just starting, some occasional soiling in text. Very good.
