ROBERTS, John S., compiler. The Life and Explorations of David Livingstone. London: Adam & Co., n.d. [ca. 1874?]. 2 volumes, 4to. Lithographed frontispieces, lithographed title in Volume I, numerous tinted lithographs, color folding map. Contemporary half black calf, 6 compartments with 5 raised bands, morocco lettering?pieces gilt in 2 compartments, marbled endpapers, stamp?signed by Sotheran (front joints a bit tender with some minor separation near ends, light rubbing to extremes). A lovely illustrated biography of Dr. Livingstone and his travels including his meeting of Henry Stanley in 1871.
