Bertram, Ross. Ross Bertram?s Dr. Q Spirit Slates. Los Angeles: Thayer, 1940s. Set of two finely made locking spirit slates in the Thayer tradition, the extremities bound with red fabric. Mysterious messages appear on the slates shown blank but moments before. With three flaps. Owned and used by the great Canadian ?Star of Magic,? Ross Bertram, and accompanied by an LOA from his student, David Ben.
