[SAN FRANCISCO]. An imperial photograph of a street scene. Circa 1857. On original mount, overall 260 x 210 mm, light marginal spotting. Locke & Montague was established during the Gold Rush Era, in San Francisco in 1857 that quickly had the reputation for selling high quality steel oven and tops, eventually evolving into their present-day business, Montagne & Co., that is at the forefront of high-quality commercial kitchen equipment.
