Original blue cloth, gilt?lettered spine (spine and extremes gently sunned, tiny stain on upper cover). Provenance: Dexter Terry? (contemporary ownership signature dated 1937). FIRST EDITION of this landmark volume in evolutionary thought that paved the way to the concept of a ?modern synthesis? between the forces of genetic mutation and natural selection in the process of evolution.
