[SEGREGATION]. Circular: ?Notice! Stop Help Save The Youth of America DON?T BUY NEGRO RECORDS?? Citizens? Council of Greater New Orleans, Inc., [ca. 1960s]. Printed circular on pink paper. 9 x 5 ??. 3 horizontal creases, some sunning, edgewear, some interior chipping with minor loss of text. Good. This racist circular (possibly an early issue, with ?Permission is granted to re-print this circular? at the bottom) was an effort to suppress and separate African-Americans from ?White? society after the Supreme Court decision in ?Brown vs. the Board of Education?. ?(If you don?t want to serve negroes in your place of business, then do not have negro records on your juke box or listen to negro records on the radio.) The screaming, idiotic words, and savage music of these records are undermining the morals of our white youth in America??
