Shell Stock Car Racing Hand-Painted Sign. 1960s. Bold and colorful sign featuring the original Shell logo and race day and time. Shell Oil sponsored and promoted widely attended stock car racing in the 1950s and 60s, paving the way for NASCAR. This handsome sign was created by Coca-Cola for concessionaires who vended Coke products (see also previous lot). 42 x 12?. Very good.
