Vernon, Dai (David Frederick Wingfield Verner). Silhouette of Billy McComb by Dai Vernon. Circa 1970. Profile portrait of the famous Irish magician, cut by Vernon from black paper, mounted to cardstock. 6 ? x 3 ??. Inscribed and signed, ?To my very good friend BILLY with admiration/Dai Vernon. Vernon settled in Los Angeles in the 1960s, enshrined at the Magic Castle as its north star. In his later years, after Vernon?s death, Billy McComb was likewise a fixture at the Hollywood magic club.
