Titles include England Under Queen Anne Ramillies and the Union with Scotland by George Macaulay Trevelyan (1932; contemporary three-quarter crushed Levant over marbled boards, raised bands, spine titled and framed in gilt, a.e.g.); King Monmouth being a history of the career of James Scott by Allan Fea (1902; original half calf over cloth boards, raised bands, two morocco spine labels stamped in gilt, compartments with gilt centerpieces, t.e.g.); The History of the Life of Peter I, Emperor of Russia by John Mottley vol. I of 3 only (Full calf expertly rebacked, morocco spine labels, illustrated with large foldout map and other foldouts); History of the French Consulate under Napoleon Buonaparte (1804; later half blue morocco over cloth boards, spine compartments with gilt centerpieces featuring the Napoleon Bee and Eagle, t.e.g.; full portrait frontispiece of Napoleon); Historical Lectures and Essays by Charles Kingsley (1889; contemporary full olive green calf ruled in gilt, compartments with elaborate scrollwork, a.e.m.); and The Rise of the Dutch Republic by John Lothrop Motley (1899; contemporary full red calf with a central gilt ornament with an insignia titled ?Christ?s Hospital?, elaborate scrollwork in gilt to compartments, a.e.m.; presentation label affixed to front pastedown for Christ?s Hospital). 8vos.
