[Sports?Football] Early Football Lithograph Poster?Detroit vs. Akron. Akron: Werner, ca. 1890s. A rarely seen 19th century football poster, lithographed player in color with letterpress advertising text, for the matchup between the Detroit Athletic Club and the Akron Football Club at Buchtel College Grounds. Framed and matted, sight 24 ? x 39?; overall 31 ? x 47?. Folds visible. A fine example.
