[ST. DOMINIC?S PRESS]. PRUDEN, Dustan. Silversmithing: Its Principles & Practice in Small Workshops. Ditchling, Sussex: St. Dominic?s Press, 1933. Small 8vo. Several woodcut vignettes. Contemporary half sheepskin with geometric designs stamped in blind over beige buckram, spine lettered in gilt (spine a bit darkened). POSSIBLY THE UNIQUE BINDING MENTIONED IN TAYLOR & SEWELL. LIMITED EDITION, one of 500 copies printed by Hilary Pepler?s press whom Will Ransom called ?a center of ideas and craftsmanship and wood?engravings? for 21 years (1916?1937) that included some of Eric Gill?s earliest woodcuts.
