The Alamo. United Artists, 1960. Three sheet (79 x 41?). Western war epic chronicling the 1836 Battle of the Alamo. Written and directed by John Wayne, who also stars in the film as Davy Crocket. Despite glaring historical inaccuracies, the film won an Academy Award and was nominated for six others. Linen backed. Expertly restored. A.
