- Lot Description
The Book of Common Prayer, Finely Bound. London: Eyre & Spottiswoode, n.d., ca. 1920s. Finely bound in full emerald morocco levant, intricately tooled with crucifixes on both covers and the text of responsorial Psalms, floral and other scrollwork tooling, backstrip with five raised bands, each compartment with gilt floral and dotted tooling, title in gilt. A.e.g. Tooled turn-ins, signed by the binder on rear inside ?1925/MB.? 8vo. 420pp. A little rubbing at ends and extremities, but fine overall.
