GANSON, Lewis (1913 - 80). The Dai Vernon Book of Magic. London: Harry Stanley Unique Magic Studio, [1957]. FIRST EDITION. Pebbled black cloth. Illustrated with photographs. 8vo. SIGNIFICANT PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed and signed to Larry Jennings by Vernon on the flyleaf: "To my friend Larry Jennings / In my opinion one of the top ranking experts of all time. Sincerely, Dai Vernon."
Jennings was one of Vernon's most prolific and gifted sleight-of-hand students. He was among the first to move to California from the midwest to study with The Professor at The Magic Castle, and urged Bruce Cervon, among others, to do the same.
