Covers darkened with occasional rubbing mostly at spine ends; slightly cocked, front cover starting; contents unusually clean. [Together with:] The Hunting of the Snark by Lewis Carroll (Harper & Brothers, 1903; first Newell edition; original white parchment boards stamped in gilt; illustrated by Peter Newell). Williams 31; WMGC 115. One of several variant colors of cloth ordered by Carroll, approximately 100 of which were bound in red.
