Cruikshank, George, after Captain Frederick Marryat. The New Union Club. London: G. Humphrey, 1819. Hand-colored etching. Sight 11 ? x 18?. Framed and matted to 17 ? x 25 ??. Repaired loss lower right corner, light soiling to edges. BM Satires 13249. A famous satirical image that mocks the views of the abolitionists depicted. Rarely seen outside institutions.
