The Shifting Sands (Sand Canisters). Azusa: Owen Magic, ca. 1980. Two heavy copper vases, one four times the size of the other. Despite the disparity in size, the magician fills the large vase from the smaller ? to overflowing. Yet when the bottom of the vase is removed, it is empty. The filling and refilling can be performed twice more. With custom Encore case, sand, instructions, and accessories. One of six sets manufactured. As new. Designed for Harry Blackstone Jr. by Les Smith of Owen Magic; the Sand Canister trick was performed by Blackstone Sr. using a pair of vases manufactured at the Willmann magic factory in Hamburg, Germany.
