- Lot Description
The Ten Commandments. Substantial Paramount Studios Set Piece. (Paramount Studios, 1956/ca. 1972). Meticulously detailed recast of the original set piece from Cecil B. DeMille?s biblical epic The Ten Commandments. This piece of Egyptian art depicting Pharaoh Ramses aboard a chariot was featured on the exterior of a temple during the Exodus scene of the film, shot with a combination of miniature models and matte paintings. Although this is not the actual miniature set piece, it is a duplicate taken from the master model used in the Paramount production, apparently made for the 1972 re-release and was featured on display at Universal Studios. Third-party transportation required. 57 x 54 ? x 5?. Very good.
