- Lot Description
Johnson, Lyndon Baines. The Vantage Point. New York: Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1971. First edition signed by Johnson on front flyleaf in fountainpen. Original red cloth stamped in blue and yellow, unclipped dust jacket. 8vo. Old adhesive stain to front board, ex-libris on front pastedown, library stamp to ffep; an ex-library copy in very good to near fine condition. Included is a typed letter from the curator of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library authenticating the signature and detailing that this version is one of the rarer copies since many of his books have his signature on a bookplate and was later attached but Johnson on occasion would sign the book himself.
