THE WHOLE ART OF CONJURING, OR HOCUS POCUS. Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Baltimore: Fisher & Brother, ca. 1850. Pictorial boards (bearing the title Complete Book of Magic) printed in color backed in green cloth, faintly lettered in gilt. Engraved title picturing the decapitation trick. Illustrations. Two volumes in one: Hocus Pocus being p. [1-5], 6-102; Art of Legerdemain being p. [3] 4-70 + 4 leaves of contents + l advertising leaf. 12mo. Binding shaken and loose, contemporary signatures in pen and pencil, general soiling and wear, chipping to boards, but good condition overall. Toole Stott 705.
