[THEOLOGY]. WOLF, Johann Christoph (1683?1739). Curae philologicae et criticae. Basel: Sumtibus Johannis Christ, 1741. 5 volumes, 4to (229 x 152 mm). Titles printed in red and black. Period vellum, paneled in blind with central Arabesque lozenge in blind, raised bands, compartments hand?titled (spines a bit darkened, some dust soiling or staining to covers). (Title?pages a bit browned, foxing or spotting near margins throughout). Second edition of Wolf?s commentaries on the New Testament first published in Hamburg. Wolf was a German Christian Hebraist, polymath, and bibliographer.
