Three German lithopane porcelain steins with pewter lids. Germany, ca. late 19th century. Three porcelain half liter steins, including:
Stein signed "Gesetzl geshutzl" depicting an elegant lady holding cup surrounded by vines, with text shield (translated): "A pretty woman and a Bavarian beer / there's nothing nicer on Earth." Lithopane scene of man and woman.
Stein, unsigned, depicting a landscape with windmill, lithopane of man and woman drinking.
Stein, unsigned, with lyre and songbook with lyrics, name of Joh. For. Schauer on scroll, lithopane of boy dropping ball on pins.
Largest 9 1/2 x 4 1/4 x 4 1/4".
Condition
The last with hairlines on body not affecting image; various spots of discoloration.
