- Lot Description
Toe Tapping Dandy/Store Window Automaton. Paris: Roullet et Decamps, ca. 1930s. When activated, the dapperly-dressed figure moves his hand and head, and taps his outstretched foot repeatedly, while the four-sided display at his right is illuminated from the interior by a light bulb. Designed to attract attention in store windows and highlight products on the box-like display. On a wooden base with on/off switch at rear. Approximately 24 x 14 x 33". Working condition, with adjustments required to mechanism. Third party transportation required.
Condition
Age-related wear to figure, signs in wooden frames modern replacements. Some elements in need of repair.
