TRUMAN, Harry S. (1884-1972). Typed Letter Signed. Independence, MO, May 26, 1965. One page on Truman's personal stationery. Addressed "Dear Mrs. Peskin:". Signed "Harry S Truman". Sight approximately 8 1/2 x 5 3/4". Matted, framed under glass with a later photo of Truman. Frame size approximately 14 x 17 1/2".
2 visible horizontal creases to letter, a few faint scratches on glass. Fine. Not examined out of frame. This letter was sent to Mrs. Hildegarde K. Peskin, a teacher who had evidently reached out to Truman on behalf of her students: "I appreciated your letter most highly. Please express my thanks to your thirty-five students for their kind sentiments to me, but more particularly, their concern with the affairs of this nation and the world in which they live..."
