HOUDINI, Beatrice (1876 - 1953). Two Signed Beatrice Houdini Letters. 1930s. The first dating to 1931 is penned on Mrs. Houdini's die-cut stationery and relates to family members traveling to Rye [New York] and the Rockaways; the second, on printed stationery, includes her handwritten address in Hollywood, and discusses her recent move there with Ed [Saint], their pet marmoset named "Satan," her lack of money, and describes life in California as idyllic. One signed "Beatrice Houdini," the other "Bess." The larger on two 8vo sheets. Offered with a third ALS to a Rahner family member, Lorraine, and signed "Daddy." Provenance: Collection of Beatrice Houdini, passed to the consignor by descent.
