VERNON, Dai (David Verner, 1894 - 1992). Four Signed Postcards to Max Maven. 1980s. Four picture postcards, three mailed by Vernon to Maven from abroad (one, from Morocco, bearing the humorous message, ?Hard to believe that some of the natives here have never heard of you. However it is only a matter of time.? Another, from Munich, includes the line, ?Very strange that they do not care much about Marlo. However the only judged from his tapes? and finishes with ?too much beer?), and one addressed in Vernon?s hand but not mailed; it was later hand-delivered to him by Vernon. Three cards SIGNED in ink ?Dai.?
