- Lot Description
Victorian Fairground or Penny Arcade Ticket Box. Circa 1890s. Attractive five-sided wooden stand with central window, used as a carnival or penny arcade ticket-taker's station. With a brass plaque attached at the front reading "James Adair Patented Oct. 2nd 1866 / reissue Nov. 4th 1868 / B. & F. Lawrence, Proprietors." With sideshow graphics to several panels and a number of carved decorative panels to the front and a slanted internal work surface. Approximately 43 x 27 x 66". Third party transportation required.
Condition
Rubbing and wear to all elements, likely lacking a drawer at rear, but generally very good, attractive, and sturdy.
