- Lot Description
Vintage Bissell's Carpet Sweeper Standing Display with 3 Vintage Carpet Sweepers and Handles. [Grand Rapids, MI: Bissell, ca. 1890s-1920s]. Standing wooden display with ?Bissell's" on top, 3 cast iron feet and holders (complete), 3 cast iron holders for sweepers and 2 cast iron holders and loops for 4 handles (only 3 handles are present - there is only enough space for 3 sweepers). 2 oaken sweepers, both stenciled ?Cyco-Bearing," one stenciled ?Prescott Furniture Co. / Grand Rapids" the other ?Grand Rapids" on both sides. The third sweeper is a somewhat later metal and wood ?Silver Streak" model with matching handle. Display is 59 ?" high. Some wear, soiling, scuffing, sweepers untested, some rust to metal parts, some parts a bit stiff, later repair to rear of display at top with later screws. Still, a fine display, rare and unusual. Customer pick-up or third party shipping required.
