Watch Mortar. London: J. Bland, ca. 1880. Toleware receptacle on a short pedestal; a watch is placed inside and crushed to bits, but later reappears restored in a nest of boxes or elsewhere. Height 4 1/8". With RARE Bland hallmark plate under base.
