WILDE, Oscar (1854?1900). De Profundis. London: Methuen and Co., [1905]. 8vo. Publisher?s blue cloth stamped in gilt, top edge gilt, others uncut (spine a bit sunned with rubbing at extreme ends). Provenance: Burrows Brothers booksellers? ticket. FIRST TRADE EDITION, FIRST ISSUE with publisher?s catalogue at rear dated ?February 1905?. Published posthumously by Wilde?s executor and former lover, Robert Baldwin Ross (1859?1918). Wilde?s last work of prose that was penned while imprisoned. Mason 388.
