WILLIS, Wesley (American, 1963-2003) The Dan Ryan Expressway Past 51st, Toward 47th St. 1992. Ballpoint pen and marker on Crescent board. 28 x 41?. Signed, titled and dated upper right quadrant. Wesley Lawrence Willis was an American singer-songwriter and artist from Chicago. He was a visual artist long before his forays into music producing hundreds of intricate, unusual, colored ink-pen drawings, most of them of Chicago streetscapes and CTA buses. Willis' work has been shown at Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art, and The MCA, among many other museums and galleries.?Paper toned. Fading. Upper right corner dogeared with pinhole. Tear of ?? right edge. Edges and corners worn. Some accretions and staining.
