- Lot Description
[WISCONSIN DELLS] Pair of Plastic Signs for the ?Biblical Gardens" Tourist Attraction. [Wisconsin Dells, ca. 1970s-90s]. Green plastic signs with white decal letters, apparently indoor signs. ?Make Your Walk Through Our Gardens More Meaningful With Our Biblical Gardens Tour Book" and ?Entrance to Gardens". Both single-sided. Sizes 9 x 18" and 6 x 17". Nail holes at upper corners, ?Entrance" sign chipped at upper right corner, some wear, light scuffing. Near fine. Biblical Gardens was a walk-through attraction with hand-sculpted statues done by the owner, Mrs. Eva Newsom, and contained 13 New Testament scenes set in a beautiful forest glade. Although the attraction is no longer in operation, the statues were restored in 2014 and taken to the Camp Phillip Christian Retreat.
