[WORLD WAR II NEWSMAPS]. Archive of over 70 Newsmap poster-maps. 1940s. Approximately 76 Newsmaps ?for the Armed Forces? issued by the U.S. Government Printing Office and distributed by the Army Information Branch. Most double-sided, with maps on one side documenting current events and progress in the war effort; and a poster on the opposite addressing various subjects. Size of each 35 x 47?. Folded in quarters. Old tape repairs and tears at folds and edges; scattered chipping and losses. Condition varies. Several stamped ?The World Aflame/Private Collection of Jacques M. Lissovoy. Uncommon.
