- Lot Description
A wood pipe with wrapped beads on the stem. South Africa, Zulu. 20th century. Object: 3 1/8"h x 9 3/4"w x 1"d, with stand: 5 1/2"h x 10 3/8"w x 1 7/8"d.
Provenance: Inventory and Collection from the Estate of Merton D. Simpson. Catalog Notes: Simpson inventory #6712, purchased from Riviere in 1993, asking $5,000. This is very good example of a Zulu adorned with traditional beadwork that shows good wear and use. - Shipping Info
