In 2010, the Neiman-Marcus store at Willow Bend in Plano, Texas chose to display jewelry made by a highly accomplished, little known jeweler named Andrew Lord Fritz. By 2011, he was its top-selling designer of fine jewelry.
Andrew Lord Fritz took inspiration for his bold and witty designs from the Italian and French and from his personal collection of 19th and 20th c. furniture and decorative arts, much of it from his beloved Italy and France. His pieces often flash precious and semi-precious gemstones, each hand-picked by the designer for their impact, or sport the Fleur-de-lis .
Andrew created lot 1286, a joyous crown, for a costume party. He wore it again to his 50th birthday celebration, for which the theme was, "It's good to be King."
A gem became detached from the back of the crown. Easy fix. From the collection of jewelry designer, Andrew Long Fritz.
