GIA pearl identification report #2165369664 describes a partially drilled natural saltwater pearl of the Pinctada species of oyster, 17.27 x 12.20 mm., semi-baroque, no indication of treatment. The 19th century oval cluster into which the pearl is set is framed by 20, near colorless old mine cut diamonds, approx. 16 cts. TW, in cut back collets and numerous smaller OMC diamonds in silver-topped gold. The antique cluster is joined to later (ca. 1930) rose cut diamond and button pearl panel links to form a bracelet. Diamonds approx. 23 cts. throughout. Oval cluster, unmarked, measures 2" x 1 7/8", bracelet, marked 14k with unidentified maker mark on V-spring,, measures 6 1/4". This bracelet was discovered in Mexico. 46.4 dwt.
