The Multi-position Reclining chair was originally designed in 1956. The design was later adaptated to incorporate a pull-out foot rest (found in the 1967 catalog). The mechanism for this feature was complex and in the end only 50 examples were made.
Branded manufacturer's mark to underside 'Kagan-Dreyfuss New York A Vladimir Kagan Design'.

Good condition with minor scratches and dents to frame primarily around feet and base stretchers. Professional repair to left arm with tight joinery on top side with some fill to bottom approximately five inches. Chip/loss to frame on left side of rear stretcher approximately one inch, barely visible in normal use, not affecting functionality. Minor staining to upholstery. Moderate wear to walnut face of footrest. Footrest works well with minor yellowing to stretchers.
