- Lot Description
Jonathan Cass, a 37-year-old Physician, enlisted on 9/2/1862 as an Asst Surgeon and was commissioned into Field & Staff Massachusetts 40th Infantry. He resigned on 7/27/1863 for Disability. The officers mess kit consists of a bone handled knife, a bone handle fork and a teaspoon marked on the handle “Cass”. The set comes in a lidded box.
