Inside, it famously includes the iconic full-page nude ?Golden Dreams? calendar photo of Marilyn from 1949, as the first ?Sweetheart of the Month? (not yet referred to as "Playmates").
Priced at 50 cents with a print run of only about 53,000 copies, this extremely rare first issue launched Hugh Hefner?s empire and is one of the most sought-after magazines in publishing history.
