Vintage insert movie poster for the 1971 independent action-drama Billy Jack, starring Tom Laughlin and Delores Taylor (noting the 1973 re-release NSS code R73/95 at the bottom).
Unframed. Can be rolled.
Size: 36 x 14 in.
Billy Jack is a 1971 action drama directed by and starring Tom Laughlin as Billy Jack, a half-Native American, half-white Vietnam War veteran who defends a progressive freedom school and its students from racism, corruption, and violent intimidation. Blending martial arts, social commentary, and Western-style action, the film addresses issues such as civil rights, environmentalism, and nonviolence while showcasing Billy Jack's willingness to fight when peaceful solutions fail. Although it received mixed reviews from critics upon release, Billy Jack became an unexpected box-office success and a cultural phenomenon, earning a devoted following and inspiring several sequels.
