The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company was a prestigious London firm established in 1880 by William Gibson and John Lawrence Langman, specializing in luxury silverware, jewelry, watches, and regalia. Based at 112 Regent Street, the company quickly gained a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and innovative designs, producing everything from ornate tableware and presentation pieces to fine timepieces and trophies. Their silver often carried elaborate decoration in the prevailing Victorian and Edwardian styles, while their jewelry and watches showcased both artistry and technical precision. In 1952, the firm was absorbed into Garrard & Co., Crown Jewellers to the British monarchy, ensuring that the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths legacy continued within one of the most storied names in British luxury craftsmanship.
