Maier & Berkele was a jewelry and silversmith firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, founded by Herman A. Maier and John Berkele in the late 19th century. Operating under the Maier & Berkele name from roughly 1890 until 2001, the company produced sterling silver flatware, hollowware, and souvenir pieces such as enamel spoons, reflecting both fine craftsmanship and regional pride. Over time, their work has become collectible, with pieces bearing the Maier & Berkele mark valued by those interested in antique silverware and Southern decorative arts.
